Chris Shelton is also no stranger to catastrophe. After receiving a devastating back injury, studying Qigong saved his life, and within a 10-year timespan, he transformed a debilitating back injury and became a martial arts champion and renowned healer.

Having grown up in an abusive and neglectful home, Chris started doing drugs at the young age of 12. Due to living an extreme lifestyle, by the age of 19, he suffered from two heart attacks.

He knew he would end up dead, in prison, or both, so he enrolled in Tae Kwon Do to change his path.

One night before a match, he was accidentally kicked in the back and was severely injured.

What seemed like a tragedy at the time transformed into his biggest triumph because the back injury is what led him to Qigong, Chinese medicine, and Tai Chi.

It’s what led him to dedicate his life to helping people heal from trauma and mental and emotional disorders, which show up as diseases and chronic pain.

After studying with many Master’s and applying these ancient healing arts to his life and clinical practice for over 30 years, Chris has helped countless people reclaim their health and enjoy lives free from chronic pain.

Chris has worked with Special Olympics teams, professional athletes, and celebrities looking for deeper meaning in their lives.

Chris’ work has appeared in blogs, newspapers, and numerous magazines such as Black Belt Magazine in Germany, Inside Kung Fu, and Silicon Valley Business Journal, and he’s been featured on radio, Showtime, NBC Sports, the UFC, KTLA, and news stations across the US, and a few movies.

He founded Morning Crane Healing Arts Center with offices in Los Angeles, San Jose, and Seattle.

He’s the author of Chris Shelton’s Easy Guide to Fix Neck and Back Pain and Chris

Shelton’s Easy Guide to Emotional Well-Being with Qigong.

The producer of the award-winning upcoming TV series called The Healer and YouTube series 30 Days Qigong to Better Health, and co-founder of The Qi Club, QigongTeacherTraining.com, and Curative Qigong®, a Two-Year graduate level Chinese Medicine program.

I am a manual therapist specializing in Visceral Manipulation, Craniosacral Therapy, and integrative therapeutic massage. I use gentle, targeted, osteopathic techniques to relieve restriction within and around the internal organs, brain, nervous system, and vasculature, restoring healthy movement and function. By assisting the body in working through its internalized responses to physical and emotional trauma, I prioritize the often neglected root causes of chronic injury, illness, structural imbalance, and dysfunction. Sessions incorporate a balance of visceral, cranial, and musculoskeletal work, with the goal of restoring your body’s ability to adapt and heal on its own.

I studied massage at the Northwest Academy of Healing Arts. I have studied Visceral Manipulation, Cranial Osteopathy, and related disciplines extensively with the Barral Institute, and serve as a teaching assistant in their VM curriculum. I spend my free time underneath a pile of books, or out exploring the urban environment, camera in hand. I also play saxophones, ride bikes, and start more projects than I’ll ever finish. I live and work in Pasadena.
